The performance offers an unusual multidisciplinary approach to the contemporary circus with a focus on how space, objects, sound and movement create the conditions for a new reality.
“To create an unreal figure, an artist must become unreal, transforming his body into something that will give us a chance to discover that unreal figure.” (Wolfgang Iser)
The performance also deals with the unreal and at its centre is the perception of the particular way in which matter arises in our mind and how active selection is responsible for the structure of figures and changes in form. The feeling of a figure arises in the eye of the beholder. The viewer creates his reality through physical presence and perception and contributes to what is happening on stage and thus becomes a co-author.
The residency and presentation are co-financed by the European Union Creative Europe, the Creative Europe Board at the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia and the City of Split. The work of the ROOM 100 collective is supported by the Kultura nova Foundation.
